The University of East Anglia (UEA) is set to launch a new MSc in Global Public Health, beginning in September 2025. The program, offered by UEA’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, is designed for students dedicated to improving health outcomes worldwide.
Christopher Burton, Dean of Health Sciences at UEA, highlighted the significance of public health in addressing global challenges. “Public health plays a crucial role in tackling some of the most pressing challenges the world is facing today. At UEA, we’re committed to preparing the next generation of global health leaders through interdisciplinary education, practical experience, and cutting-edge research. This MSc program ensures that graduates develop the skills, confidence, and critical thinking necessary to improve public health globally,” Burton said, according to the Economic Times.
Tuition and Living Expenses
For the academic year 2025/26, the tuition fee for international students will be £22,700. Additionally, the expected living costs for students are approximately £1,136 per month.
Entry Requirements
The MSc in Global Public Health is open to both UK and international students. To qualify, international applicants must hold a UK bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a health-related subject with at least a 2.2 grade. Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of language proficiency with an IELTS score of at least 6.0 overall, including no less than 6.0 in Speaking and Writing, and no less than 5.5 in Reading and Listening.
Program Overview
The MSc in Global Public Health offers an interdisciplinary learning experience, bringing together expertise from international development, public health, and environmental sciences. Students will engage with global case studies, apply cutting-edge research, and develop the analytical skills needed to address complex health challenges.
